Midwestern Salad Recipe
- 1 c. Mazola corn oil
- 1/3 c. red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt, oregano, basil
- 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 clove garlic, split
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, torn
- 1/2 pound fresh spinach, torn
- 1 lg. red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 1/2 c. sliced radishes
- Combine oil, vinegar, seasonings and garlic in jar.
- Cover tightly and shake.
- Toss lettuce and spinach.
- Arrange onion, carrot and dishes on top.
- Remove garlic from dressing mix.
- Shake well.
- Pour over salad.
- Toss to mix and serve.
