Deep Fried Sandwiched Lotus Root and Chicken Bento

  1. Peel the lotus root and cut into 5 mm thick slices.
  2. Soak in water.
  3. Put the ingredients in a bowl, and mix well until sticky.
  4. Drain the lotus roots and coat with katakuriko.
  5. Put the mixture from Step 2 between slices of lotus root.
  6. Coat each sandwich with katakuriko again.
  7. Deep fry in 180 C oil until browned.
  8. Cool, and pack into a bento box.
  9. Sprinkle with salt.
