Anita's White Wine Steak Filet
- 1 lb. filet steak, cut into strips
- 1/2 lb. field mushrooms, finely diced
- 1-1/4 tsp. cracked steak pepper
- 1/4 tsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 2 md. spanish onions, finely diced
- 3/4 bottle dry white wine
- 1/2 to 1 pint fresh double cream, according to taste
- Fry steak strips, mushrooms, onions and spices in butter for 5 minutes.
- Add wine and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add fresh cream and bring to a simmer.
- Serve with fresh crusty bread.
