Veggie Cheese Bread
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 3/4 cups Shredded Carrots
- 1/4 cups Slivers Of Red Pepper
- 1/4 cups Sliced Green Onion
- 2 teaspoons Minced Garlic
- 1 loaf Italian Bread
- 1 cup Shredded Italian Blend Cheese
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cover a cookie sheet or baking pan with foil.
- Melt butter in small frying pan.
- Add veggies and minced garlic.
- Saute over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cut the bread in half lengthwise so you can lay the top and bottom next to each other with the cut side up.
- Spoon the veggies over each half and sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
- If you want to prepare in advance, you can wrap the bread and refrigerate at this point.
- Place the bread halves on the prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese has melted and bread edges are toasted.
- Slice each bread half into 8-10 slices.
