  3. Stir in the milk.
  4. Stirring constantly, cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the turkey, almonds, and peas.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in the half-and-half and cook to heat through, 1 to 2 minutes more.
  8. Serve over the toast slices.
