Bacon, Double-Cheese & Onion-Stuffed Burgers

  1. Heat grill to medium heat.
  2. Cook bacon in small skillet until crisp.
  3. Meanwhile, cut 4 thin slices from center of onion; finely chop remaining onion.
  4. Remove bacon from skillet, reserving 1 Tbsp.
  5. drippings in skillet.
  6. Drain bacon on paper towels.
  7. Add chopped onions to reserved drippings; cook on medium heat 5 to 6 min.
  8. or until golden brown, stirring frequently.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Crumble bacon; mix with cooked onions and cheese.
  11. Shape meat into 8 thin patties.
  12. Top 4 patties with bacon mixture; cover with remaining patties.
  13. Pinch edges together to seal.
  14. Grill 6 to 7 min.
  15. on each side or until done (160 degrees F); top with Singles.
  16. Fill buns with burgers and sliced onions.
