Hearty chile rellenos casserole Recipe kauknee
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 diced yellow onion
- 6 eggs, 2TBL tobasco sauce, 2TBL flour, juice from the can of green chiles, salt
- 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
- 1 32oz can whole green chiles, roasted & seeded
- Line a 9x13 baking dish with whole green chiles, open them, lay them flat, go up the sides of the dish with them.
- Brown the sausage, hamburger, onion & seasoning salt together.
- Place in dish.
- Quickly scramble the egg mixture and pour into the dish.
- Bake @ 375 for 25minutes.
- Sprinkle cheese over the top.
- Bake for another 5minutes.
- Garnish with finely chopped lettuce, tomatoes, olives, avacado and sour cream.
