Grandma P's Hot German Potato Salad

  1. Hard boil the eggs.
  2. Peel and set aside.
  3. Fry the bacon until crisp and chop into small pieces.
  4. Add chopped onion into the bacon grease and fry until golden brown.
  5. Discard half of the grease.
  6. Boil potatoes until soft, then cut them up into small pieces and place in a large ovenproof bowl.
  7. Cut up eggs into small pieces and add to the potatoes.
  8. Mix together the cider vinegar, sugar, soup, water, bacon pieces and onion.
  9. Pour over the potatoes and eggs.
  10. Mix together and heat thoroughly in a 400 degrees F oven.
  11. About 15 minutes to a half hour.
