Garlic Sauteed Baby Artichokes
- 4 Baby artichokes
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 3 clove Garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 White wine
- 1/2 Lemon
- Cut the stems and tops off the artichokes, and remove several outer leaves.
- Cut the sharp tips off the remaining leaves with scissors.
- Rub a lemon on the cut parts of the artichokes.
- This prevents discoloring.
- Bring plenty of water to a boil.
- Add the artichokes to the boiling water, hold them down to the bottom of the pan with a small lid, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Cut the cooked artichokes into quarters.
- Put the olive oil, salt and pepper, and garlic in a frying pan with the artichokes, and saute for 10 to 15 minutes, taking care not to let them burn.
