Meringue Layer Cookies

  1. Cream Crisco and sugar and add eggs, well beaten.
  2. Add salt and vanilla -- sift baking powder with flour and mix well.
  3. Spread in long shallow pan and cover with second layer.and bake in 350.
  4. Cut into squares when cool.
  5. Bake till browned.
  6. Be sure to note the size of pan and baking times to correct before posting.
