Quick Cheese And Pepper Bread
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 oz. (1 c.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. margarine, melted
- 2 eggs
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease bottom only of 9 x 5 loaf pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
- In medium bowl, combine flour, cheese, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pepper; mix well.
- In small bowl combine buttermilk, margarine and eggs; blend well.
- Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Pour into greased pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 15 minutes; remove.
- Cool completely on wire rack.
- Wrap; store in refrigerator.
