Lo Cal Pasta Fagioli

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions.
  2. While pasta is cooking, rinse and drain beans;set aside.
  3. Dice onion, bell pepper, and celery; set aside.
  4. Mince garlic; set aside.
  5. Add the oil to a large saucepan on medium heat.
  6. Saute onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic for 5- 7 minutes or until the onions are translucent.
  7. Reduce heat and add tomato sauce, broth, salt, spinach, basil, and beans.
  8. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  9. Stir in pasta and heat until warmed through.
  10. Serve with a garnish of Parmesan cheese.
