Turkey With Corn And Sausage Stuffing Recipe
- 1 pound sausage
- 2 Packages (6 ounce.) cornbread stuffing mix
- 3 c. warm water
- 16 ounce. pkg. frzn whole kernel corn
- 8 to 12 pound turkey
- Break sausage into small pcs and brown well in skillet.
- Drain on absorbent paper; reserve drippings.
- Add in butter to drippings to make 1/2 c.. Place content of vegetables/seasoning packets and measured drippings in large bowl.
- Add in warm water.
- Stir to blend.
- Add in stuffing crumbs.
- Stir just to moisten.
- Stir in corn and sausage.
- Don't stuff turkey till ready to roast.
- Rinse turkey with cool water.
- Sprinkle neck and body cavities with salt and stuff lightly with stuffing.
- Truss and roast at 325 degrees for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hrs.
- Makes 9 c.. Place remaining stuffing in small baking dish.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min.
