Golden Salmon Braid Recipe

  1. Drain salmon and flake.
  2. Cook spinach according to package direction.
  3. Drain thoroughly.
  4. Combine salmon, spinach, cottage cheese, onion, lemon juice, and seasonings.
  5. Mix Bisquick and ice water to make a dough.
  6. Roll dough to 8x12 inch rectangle.
  7. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  8. Spread salmon filling down center of dough.
  9. Make diagonal cuts 2 inches from edge at 2 inch intervals along both sides of dough.
  10. Take top piece and turn over, take bottom piece and turn over.
  11. Criss-cross strips from each side, carefully enclosing filling.
  12. Combine beaten egg yolk and water.
  13. Brush over surface of braid.
  14. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 min till golden brown.
  15. Serve sliced with mushroom sauce.
