Sauerkraut With Ribs Recipe

  1. Cut extra fat off ribs.
  2. Dip in seasoned flour and brown in heavy pot in oil.
  3. Drain off all but 1 to 2 Tbsp.
  4. oil.
  5. Rinse sauerkraut well in colander.
  6. Quarter onion and separate pcs.
  7. Add in sauerkraut and onions to meat in pot.
  8. Add in water, sugar, and pepper and bring to a boil.
  9. Mix gently, cover and simmer over low heat about 1 1/2 hrs.
  10. Cut potatoes into 2 inches squares and add in potatoes at this time.
  11. Mix gently and continue cooking till potatoes are tender.
