Pepperoni Bread (Stromboli) Recipe

  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  3. Thaw bread dough according to package directions.

  5. Spread thawed dough on greased cookie sheet.

  7. Make egg wash by mixing Large eggs and seasonings; spread half of egg wash on dough almost to edges.

  9. Layer pepperoni slices 3 or possibly 4 to a row down the center third of bread.
  10. 5.
  11. Sprinkle with cheese and optional mushrooms.
  12. 6.
  13. Fold bread dough over filling one third over then last third over.
  14. Flip dough over so the seam is underneath.
  15. 7.
  16. Cover dough with remaining egg wash.
  17. 8.
  18. Bake till golden, about 25 min.
  19. 9.
  20. Serve with hot pizza sauce on the side (optional).
  21. Variation: I have used sausage, green peppers and onions instead of or possibly in addition to other ingredients.
