Peppermint Thumbprints Recipe

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In small bowl, mix all filling ingredients till well blended; set aside.
  3. In large bowl, cream together powdered sugar, butter and vanilla.
  4. Lightly spoon flour into measuring c.; level off.
  5. Add in flour and mix till well blended.
  6. If dough is too crumbly, add in 1 - 4 tsp.
  7. lowfat milk.
  8. Shape into 1/2 inch balls; place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  9. With thumb, make imprint in center of each cookie; fill with 1/8 to 1/4 tsp.
  10. filling.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 min or possibly till light golden around edges.
  12. Cold.
  13. 5-6 dozen cookies.
