Old-World Raspberry Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Line 8- or 9-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil, extending foil over edges.
  3. Grease foil; set aside.
  4. Combine all crumb mixture ingredients in bowl.
  5. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Reserve 2 cups crumb mixture; set aside.
  7. Press remaining crumb mixture on bottom of prepared baking pan.
  8. Spread preserves to within 1/2 inch of edge.
  9. Crumble reserved crumb mixture over preserves.
  10. Bake 40-50 minutes or until lightly browned.
  11. Cool completely; cut into bars.
  12. *Substitute 3/4 cup your favorite flavor preserves.
