Sweet (And A Little Salty) Chex Mix
- 4 cups Honey Nut Chex Cereal
- 2 cups Rice Chex Cereal
- 2 cups Corn Chex Cereal
- 1 cup Pretzels (any Shape)
- 1/2 cups Honey Roasted Peanuts
- 1 stick Butter
- 12 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 4 Tablespoons Corn Syrup
- 1/2 teaspoons Maple Flavor Or Vanilla Extract
- Salt
- 3 bags (1 3/4 oz. Candy Bar Size) M&Ms
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Mix cereal, pretzels and nuts in a bowl.
- Split the mixture between 2 cookie sheets sprayed with cooking spray.
- Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, mix together butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and maple flavor.
- Heat over medium heat until it starts to bubble.
- Pour the mixture over the cereal mixture on both cookie sheets.
- Mix as best as you can and put cookie sheets in the oven.
- Heat for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven when done, and spread out on waxed paper or tin foiled sprayed lightly with cooking spray.
- While the mixture is still hot, sprinkle with salt (the amount you add is up to you!).
- Once mixture is cool, break up any large chunks.
- Add M&M candies and toss together.
- Makes 16 1-cup servings.
