Fudge Filled Chocolate Chip Thumbprints

  1. Cream butter, salt & vanilla till fluffy; beat in sugar.
  2. Blend in flour, milk, and mini chocolate chips.
  3. Shape into 1" balls.
  4. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  5. With finger or thumb, poke depression in each.
  6. Bake in 375 degree F. oven for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Roll while warm in confectioners sugar.
  8. Set aside while you make filling:.
  9. Melt chocolate chips with shortening; stir.
  10. Cool a little.
  11. Blend in corn syrup, water and vanilla.
  12. Fill cooled cookies.
