Chili
- 1 pound Ground Hamburger
- 1 whole Large Onion
- 1 whole Green Pepper
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 4 cans (15 Oz. Can) Beans
- 1 can (16 Oz. Can) Tomato Sauce
- 1 can (28 Oz. Can) Crushed Tomatoes
- 4 Tablespoons Ground Cumin
- 4 Tablespoons Ground Chili
- 1 teaspoon Mexican Oregano
- 3- 1/2 Tablespoons Lime Juice
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Concentrated Liquid Smoke
- 1/4 teaspoons Marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoons Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Chipotle (To Taste)
- Cook and drain hamburger.
- Add onion (diced) and green pepper (diced) and cook until soft.
- Add garlic (minced) and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- In a crock pot or stock pot, add the beans (drained and rinsed), crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and remaining ingredients.
- Add the hamburger/onion/pepper mixture and stir until well blended.
- Cook until hot enough to eat, and beans are softened.
- Notes:
- You can, of course, add as much onion, pepper, and garlic as you want.
- I usually use 2 cans of black beans with 1 can of pinto beans and 1 can of kidney beans, but mix and match how you like it.
