Chicken Korma
- 2 lbs chicken
- 3 tablespoons yogurt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- salt
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 23 cup onion
- 1 tablespoon gingerroot
- 2 tablespoons garlic cloves
- 2 serrano chilies
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 2 -3 cardamom pods
- 2 cinnamon sticks, broken into inch pieces
- 2 -3 whole cloves
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- Using a food processor make a paste of the garlic, ginger and onion.
- Add the paste to the rest of the ingredients except chicken and ghee.
- Add marinade to chicken pieces.
- Marinate overnight.
- Heat ghee in deep skillet.
- Add marinated chicken.
- Cook over low heat until you see the oil and marinade separate and chicken is well cooked (30 min).
- serve hot.
- Prep time does not include overnight marinating time.
