Cornbeef in carrot and onion gravy
- 5 lb cornbeef brisket
- 5 cup sweet onion
- 1 lb baby carrots
- 1 tbsp meat tenderizer
- 1 tbsp granulated garlic powder
- 2 tbsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- Mix the cornstarch and water set it aside.
- Heat a big pan add oil when hot add the brisket
- Add onions and carrots.
- Add half the spices.
- When the brisket is browned turn it over let cook covered 10 minutes.
- Take the brisket out and slice it return back to pan.
- Let cook covered 3 minutes stir cornstarch solution and add to pan stirring constantly till it thickens.
- Let sit 10 minutes covered serve hope you enjoy!
