Shrimp and Onions in a Mild Aurora Sauce
- 30 Shrimp
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 2 tbsp Katakuriko
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 dash Ginger, garlic (finely chopped)
- 2 onions Onion
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 Chopped green onion
- Shell the shrimp and do the preliminary prepping; season with flavoring.
- Thinly slice the onions, and whisk the eggs.
- Don't throw out the shrimp shells .
- Use them in my furikake recipe -.
- Pour oil (not listed) in a pan, saute the ginger and garlic until aromatic, and brown the seasoned shrimp on both sides.
- You do not have to cook them all the way through, browning it is enough.
- Momentarily take out the shrimp from step 3, and saute the thinly sliced onions in the same pan.
- Add the shrimp back into the pan once the onions have wilted, and flavor with the sauce.
- Add the whisked eggs once the shrimp has become evenly coated in the sauce...
- Scatter green onions for the finishing touch.
- I ate this dish for lunch right after I gave birth to my second son, so it's full of memories for me!
