Crisp and Fluffy Chocolate Doughnuts
- 30 grams Unsalted butter
- 90 grams Sugar
- 1 egg Egg
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 10 grams Skim milk powder
- 200 grams Cake flour
- 16 grams Cocoa powder
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1 Frying oil
- Combine the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and powdered milk and sift.
- Combine butter (brought to room temperature) and sugar, and cream.
- Now, add the egg and pour in the milk in that order and mix well.
- Add Step 2 to the Step 1 bowl, and then mix well with a spatula.
- When the dough comes together, form the dough into a ball with your hands and then chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Take out the dough and put it on a countertop dusted with flour.
- With a rolling pan, roll out the dough to about an 8 cm width and cut with a cookie cutter.
- Deep fry at about 335F (170C) to 350F (180C).
