Blackened Sirlion Recipe

  1. Make seasoning mix by combinning in a bowl the salt and all the spices.
  2. Heat butter with garlic and place in a flat dish.
  3. Prepare barbecue.
  4. Dip steak in garlic butter, then pat seasoning mix onto both sides of meat.
  5. Brush grill with oil and barbecue steak for 8 min per side for rare meat.
  6. Steak will blacken as it cooks and a lot of smoke will be created by the seasoning mix.
  7. Remove steak from grill to warm platter and let stand for 5 min.
  8. Slice thinly on the diagonal.
  9. SERVES 6.
