Toffee-Chocolate Squares

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Put graham crackers in a single layer on sheet with edges touching.
  4. Sprinkle toffee bits and almonds over graham crackers.
  5. In a small saucepan, bring sugar and butter to a boil over medium-high.
  6. Reduce heat and cook at a rapid simmer, swirling pan occasionally until mixture is syrupy - about 2 minutes.
  7. Immediately pour over graham crackers.
  8. Bake until sugar topping is bubbling, about 12 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven promptly and sprinkle chocolate chips and salt over graham crackers.
  10. With a sharp knife, cut into 2-inch squares.
  11. Let cool completely on wire rack and store in an airtight container.
