Baked Apricots

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
  2. Generously butter a large baking dish.
  3. Put the apricot halves, cut side up, in the dish in one layer.
  4. Sprinkle with sugar, dot with butter, and bake until tender, about 15 minutes.
  5. The apricots should be caramelized with the sugar but retain their shape.
  6. Serve immediately with creme fraiche or ice cream.
