Chocolate Caramel Macaroon Squares

  1. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
  2. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large, mixing bowl until creamy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  5. Stir in 1-1/3 cups coconut and 1 cup morsels (mixture will be very thick).
  6. Spread in a greased 13-in.
  7. x 9-in.
  8. x 2-in.
  9. baking pan.
  10. Sprinkle with remaining coconut and morsels.
  11. Bake at 350 for 22-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out still slightly sticky.
  12. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  13. Cut into bars.
