Sweet and Salty Atsuage Cheese Bake

  1. Pour boiling water over the atsuage to remove any excess oil, then chop it up into bite-sizes.
  2. Mix the ingredients in a frying pan and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the atsuage to the same frying pan.
  4. Turn it over once in a while and simmer to reduce the sauce.
  5. Line up the atsuage on a heatproof dish.
  6. Top with melting cheese.
  7. Bake for 4-5 minutes in a toaster oven to finish.
