Banana Bread - Half the Fat & Sugar, No Nuts
- 12 cup sugar
- 12 cup Splenda granular
- 14 cup shortening
- 14 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3 bananas
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 dash salt
- 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar (optional)
- Cream together the sugar, splenda, shortening & applesauce.
- Mix in the eggs & bananas.
- Sift the flour, salt & soda together & add to mixture.
- Pour into a prepared bread pan.
- Sprinkle the top with turbinado sugar.
- Bake 1 hour at 340.
