Spicy Garlic Chicken Wings and Blue Cheese Dip

  1. For the Best Blue Cheese Dip:
  2. Combine all of the dip ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Break up any large pieces of blue cheese, mix to combine, cover and refrigerate until ready to dip.
  4. For the spicy garlic wings:
  5. Preheat the broiler in your oven.
  6. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  7. Working in batches if needed, line up the chicken pieces on the foil-lined sheet and drizzle with a little olive oil (not a lot!
  8. ).
  9. Place pan 5 inches underneath the broiler.
  10. Cook and flip every 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked and the skin is golden and really crispy, about 25 minutes.
  11. Meanwhile prepare the wing sauce.
  12. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the Franks, sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
  13. Stir while it is brought up to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  14. Then remove pan from the heat.
  15. In a large bowl whisk together the egg yolk, water and cornstarch.
  16. Grab a small measuring cup of the hot sauce and while whisking, slowly stream it into bowl with the egg/cornstarch.
  17. Once combined, gradually add in the rest of the sauce.
  18. Add cooked wings into the bowl of spicy garlic sauce and toss to coat.
  19. Serve with the blue cheese dip and enjoy!
