Ukrainian Mushrooms with Sour Cream
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, diced
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 taspoon salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
- 1/4 cup grated cheese (Parmesan, Swiss,
- Cheddar)
- 2 tbsp. butter, melted
- Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet 5 minutes.
- Add mushrooms; saute 5 minutes longer.
- Blend well, flour, salt, and pepper with skillet mixture.
- Add whipping cream and sour cream gradually; mixing thoroughly.
- Turn into 1-quart casserole.
- Top with cheese.
- Drizzle melted butter over top.
- Bake at 350 F. about 20 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
- 4 to 6 servings.
