Pasta With Manila Clams
- 300 grams Pasta
- 350 grams Manila clams
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 50 ml White wine
- 50 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Dashi stock granules
- 1 dash each Salt and pepper
- 50 ml Pasta cooking water
- 1 Green onion or scallion
- In a frying pan, add olive oil and garlic and cook over low heat until fragrant.
- Add the de-gritted and washed clams.
- Add wine and water.
- Put a lid on (medium heat) and start boiling the pasta.
- When the clams have opened up and steamed, add the ingredients.
- Add the pasta cooking water and green onions.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning.
- If the clams cook before the pasta, turn the heat off and leave on standby.
- Mix the clams and sauce with the pasta and it's done.
