Mexican Sopapillas Recipe
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 c. cool water
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- Sift flour, baking pwdr and salt in bowl.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add in water.
- Mix to hold together.
- Knead till smooth.
- Let rise 5 min.
- Roll out smooth and thin.
- Cut into squares.
- Deep fry.
- Sprinkle while still warm.
- Drizzle with hot honey.
