Biscotti with Chocolate Chips

  1. Heat oven to 375 Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In mixing bowl.
  3. Cream butter, shortening, sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs- one at a time mix well after each egg.
  5. Scrape bowl & sides.
  6. Beat in vanilla- b.powder-salt.
  7. Reduce mixer speed.
  8. Gradually add flour.Until incorparted.Add chocolate chips.
  9. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.
  10. Divide dough in half.
  11. Shape each piece into 12" logs.
  12. Transfer logs to baking sheet.With damp fingers flatten slightly to about 3" wide.
  13. Bake 20-25 minutes.
  14. Until lightly brown around edges.
  15. Remove from oven.
  16. Let rest 20 minutes.Reduce oven heat to 300 .
  17. Transfer logs to cutting board.
  18. Cut them into 3/4" to 1" wide slices.
  19. Return slices cut side up back on baking sheet.
  20. Bake 15 min.
  21. Turn them over bake another 15 min.
  22. Allow them to cool.
  23. Store in a container for 2 weeks at room temperture.
