Sesame Roasted Salmon
- 2 Tablespoons Minced Ginger
- 3 whole Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Mirin
- 1/4 cups Canola Oil
- 4 pieces Salmon Filet
- 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
- 4 Tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seeds
- In a large bowl whisk together the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, mirin and 1/4 cup canola oil.
- Add the salmon filets and coat them in the mixture.
- Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Position a rack in the middle of your oven and preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- In a large saute pan, heat the remaining oil over medium high heat and cook salmon about 2 minutes on each side.
- Remove to a baking sheet covered in foil, skin side down.
- Using a butter knife, spread an equal amount of the hoisin sauce on the top of each piece of salmon.
- Sprinkle each piece with a Tablespoon of the sesame seeds.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 4-6 minutes, until cooked through.
