Onion Salisbury Steak
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
- 4 slices bread, toasted
- 14 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 12 cups water
- 1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
- Shape the beef into 4 oval patties.
- Season each side with salt, pepper and 1/2 tsp onion soup mix.
- In a skillet, brown patties on one side, then turn and add onions.
- Cook until meat is no longer pink.
- Place toast on serving plates.
- Top each with onions and a beef patty; keep warm.
- Stir flour and remaining onion soup mix into skillet until blended.
- Gradually add water; stir in bullion.
- Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
- Serve over meat and onions.
