Maple Glazed Apple Streusel Pie

  1. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and salt in bowl.
  2. Cut in 1/2 cup butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in apple cider with fork just until moistened.
  4. Shape dough into ball; flatten slightly.
  5. Wrap in plastic food wrap; refrigerate 1 hour.
  6. Heat oven to 400F.
  7. Roll out pastry on lightly floured surface to 12-inch circle.
  8. Fold in quarters; place into 9-inch ungreased glass pie pan.
  9. Unfold dough, pressing firmly against bottom and sides.
  10. Crimp or flute edges; set aside.
  11. Combine all filling ingredients except apples in bowl; mix well.
  12. Add apples; toss lightly to coat.
  13. Spoon apple mixture into prepared crust.
  14. Combine all topping ingredients except butter in bowl.
  15. Cut in 1/4 cup butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  16. Sprinkle over filling.
  17. Bake 20-25 minutes or until top and crust are light golden brown.
  18. Cover entire top of pie with aluminum foil.
  19. Continue baking 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  20. Remove foil; cool on cooling rack at least 1 hour.
  21. Combine powdered sugar, maple flavoring and enough water for desired drizzling consistency in bowl; beat with whisk until well mixed.
  22. Drizzle over cooled pie.
