onion soup
- 3 large onions
- 1 quart beef broth
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/4 stick butter
- 1 salt to taste
- 1 granulated garlic to taste
- 1/4 cup Romano parmesan cheese
- melt butter in pot, add slivered onions and cook till tender.
- add wine let reduce, add beef broth add seasonings.
- let cook stirring occasionally.
- dip into a bowl amd sprinkle ramono parmesan cheese
- Option put into oven proof cups in stead of Romano parmesan cheese used shredded swiss cheese put into oven and let heat till cheese browns a bit have french bread to dip into soup
