Diet Custard Recipe
- 1 c. skim lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. low cholesterol liquid Large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon liquid artificial sweetener
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Nutmeg (as desired)
- Scald skim lowfat milk; cold slightly.
- Mix low-cholesterol liquid Large eggs and artificial sweetener together.
- Slowly add in scalded lowfat milk to low-cholesterol liquid Large eggs mix.
- Add in vanilla.
- Pour into three custard c.; sprinkle lightly with nutmeg, if you like.
- Place in pan of water.
- Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 45-60 min till hard or possibly a silver knife inserted in center comes out clean.
