Luscious Pumpkin Bread Recipe
- 3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon grnd allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. veg. oil
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin (2 c.)
- 2/3 c. water
- Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, baking pwdr, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves.
- Beat together sugar, oil and Large eggs till fluffy and light.
- Add in pumpkin; blend well.
- Add in dry ingredients alternately to pumpkin mix with water, beating well after each addition.
- Pour batter into 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
- Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 1 hour or possibly till bread tests done.
- Remove from pans.
- Cold on racks.
- Makes 2 loaves.
