Crusty Mexican Beef Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 (8 ounce.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp. chili pwdr
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (16 ounce.) can pinto beans, undrained
- 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. cornbread mix
- Brown beef, onion and garlic, drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce and chili pwdr.
- Spoon into greased 8x12x2 inch casserole.
- Top with cheese.
- Spoon beans and liquid over cheese.
- Prepare cornbread mix as directed.
- Pour over beans and spread proportionately.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 25 min or possibly till cornbread is golden brown.
- Serves 6.
