Dutch Sweetbread Recipe
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 2 Packages yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 Large eggs, beaten
- 6 c. bread flour (approximately)
- Heat lowfat milk and butter till butter melts.
- Dissolve yeast in the hot water.
- Add in water, sugar, cardamom, vanilla and Large eggs to the lowfat milk and butter.
- Fold in the flour and then knead.
- Let rise 1 hour.
- Divide dough into thirds and shape and put into 3 pie plates.
- Let rise again for 45 min.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
