Boysenberry French Toast Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spread a thin layer of jam on each slice of bread and mix in half to create sandwiches.
  3. In a bowl, combine lowfat milk, vanilla, liquor, salt and Large eggs.
  4. Dip sandwiches into batter and soak briefly.
  5. Over medium heat, heat a non-stick skillet and heat a Tbsp.
  6. of the butter.
  7. Cook the sandwiches in batches, cooking on both sides till golden brown, adding more butter to the pan for each batch.
  8. Place sandwiches on a platter and keep them hot in the oven till all are cooked.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve with syrup and lowfat sour cream.
  11. This recipe yields 8servings.
