Mother's Gingerbread Banana Shortcake Recipe

  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Mix shortening and sugar.
  3. Add in egg and beat well.
  4. Stir in molasses and add in dry ingredients and boiling water.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.
  6. While slightly hot cover with whipped cream and sliced bananas.
