Date Bars
- 5 13 tablespoons margarine
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup soymilk
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 12 cup chopped walnuts
- 14 cup flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon clove
- 12 teaspoon allspice
- 34 cup rolled oats
- Cream together the margarine and brown sugar.
- Add the milk, dates, and walnuts and combine thoroughly.
- In a sepatate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
- Add the rolled oats to the dry ingredients and mix together.
- Add the dry ingredients to the date mixture, mixing to combine thouroughly.
- Spread in an 8-inch square pan.
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
