Hermits Or Health Cookies Recipe
- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 c. buttermilk or possibly sour lowfat milk
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. minced nuts
- Mix butter and sugar together.
- Add in Large eggs and oatmeal, then add in flour alternately with sour lowfat milk.
- Add in raisins and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 min.
