Cracker Lasagna

  1. BROWN meat and onion in frying pan.
  2. Drain off fat.
  3. STIR in tomato paste, water, oregano, salt, garlic powder and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. LAYER 16 crackers in greased 9-inch (2.5L/23cm) square pan.
  6. Cover with half meat mixture.
  7. SPRINKLE with half Mozzarella cheese.
  8. COMBINE cottage cheese, egg and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Spoon half over cheese.
  10. LAYER remaining crackers over cottage cheese.
  11. SPREAD with remaining cottage cheese, then meat mixture, then remaining Mozzarella cheese.
  12. BAKE at 350F (180C) for about 30 minutes.
