Piquant Cocktail Meat Balls Recipe
- 2 lbs. grnd round beef
- 1 c. corn flake crumbs
- 1/3 c. dry parsley flakes
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/3 c. catsup
- 2 tbsp. instant chopped onion
- 1 (1 lb.) can jellied cranberry sauce
- 1 (12 ounce.) bottle chili sauce
- 2 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. bottled lemon juice
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl combine beef, corn flake crumbs, parsley flakes, Large eggs, soy sauce, pepper, garlic pwdr, catsup and chopped onion; blend well.
- Form mix into small meat balls about the size of walnuts.
- Arrange in a 15-1/2 x 10-1/2 x 1 inch pan.
- In a small medium saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce, sugar and lemon juice.
- Cook together till mix is smooth and cranberry sauce has melted.
- Pour over meat balls.
- Bake uncovered, 30 min.
- Serve in a chafing dish with toothpicks.
- Makes 60 meat balls.
